Religion, sexuality and gender are themes at the forefront of Burke’s photography. Specialising in fashion portraiture, he thoroughly investigates people through these themes, giving his portraits deeper meaning and life. It’s through this craft that he manages to strike a fine balance between surrealist, and the more conventional realist portraiture, cementing his style in the overcrowded world of fashion.
Hailing originally from Malta, Burke grew up being inspired by Baroque churches, and to a greater extent the associated art, which is also a thread common throughout his work.
He currently lives and works in London.
